The latest enhancements to the GMG ColorProof and ColorManagement GMG ColorServer/InkOptimizer systems means Faenza Group is fully compliant with ISO51 and ISO52, delivering the reliability of these new standards and prepress that keeps its promises.
Thanks to the tools in the Colorsuite® system, Faenza Group’s entire prepress and printing production is able to meet the challenges posed by the new standards for offset printing, offering GMG quality.
With the help of Mainitalia S.r.l., a leading colour management solution provider, the procedures for processing orders have been defined and implemented, ensuring reliable, top quality print projects for all Faenza Group clients.
The new enhancements and developments have also introduced the following innovative functions:
- Reduced colour coverage on the paper – with an increased range of colours – preventing them from rubbing or “dirtying” the paper during printing;
- Improved “neutral” shades by increasing the black and consequently lowering the other four colours for dark shades;
- Management of colour proofing, for increased correspondence with the printed product.
The upgrade to the system has also cut prepress times significantly, reducing file processing by 80/90%, and provides a constantly updated Adobe library and different PDF processing profiles to match the different type of yield.
In addition, with the publication of the latest Fogra 51 (profile for coated paper with optical brighteners) and Fogra 52 profiles (profile for handmade paper with optical brighteners), it is now possible to supply certified proofing on these kinds of paper.
